Guide to Attending Events at Bartercard Odsal Stadium

Bartercard Odsal Stadium is one of Bradford’s most iconic venues, best known as the home of the Bradford Bulls. The ground hosts rugby league fixtures, community days, hospitality events, special themed activities, and family-friendly entertainment throughout the year.

Tickets & Entry

Before You Go: 

  • It’s best to buy tickets online in advance, especially for busy matches or special events.
  • Season tickets and individual match tickets are available through the Bradford Bulls official website.
  • Some events may offer on-the-day turnstile entry, but advanced purchase is usually quicker and cheaper. 

On the Day

  • Gates typically open 1–2 hours before kick-off, giving plenty of time to get in, grab food, drink and enjoy pre-match activities.
  • Turnstiles are cashless, Bars offer cash and contactless payments though certain events may provide limited cash options.
  • Security checks are in place, so allow extra time when arriving.

By Car

·       Odsal Stadium is about 2 miles (3.5 km) south of Bradford city centre.  Located off the M606 / M62, situated on Rooley Ave, Odsal, Bradford BD6 1BS.

·       Event-day parking is available on-site or at the Richard Dunn Centre (BD6 1EZ).

  • Spaces fill up quickly on busy match days, so aim to arrive early.
  • Please be considerate of our local residents if parking off-site.

Public Transport

  • Odsal Top bus stops are a short walk from the stadium. Serviced by the following 268, 363, 614, 686, 687, 688, 645, 681, X63, 508
  • Low Moor train station New Works Road, Low Moor, West Yorkshire, BD12 7BD (approx. 1 mile) with taxis available locally.

What to Expect on Matchdays & Events

Rugby League Fixtures:

  • Expect a lively, family-friendly atmosphere with entertainment before kick-off.
  • The Fan Zone often features music, interviews, mascots, competitions, and food/drink stalls.
  • Merchandise is available at the Bulls Club Shop, open pre- and post-game.
  • Announcements, live commentary, and match updates help keep everyone engaged throughout the event. 

Special & Community Events

The stadium regularly hosts:

  • Hospitality lunches and dinners
  • Heritage events and guided tours
  • Children’s parties and themed seasonal activities (e.g., Santa experiences)
  • Corporate functions and conferences 

These typically include food service, stadium access, and optional entertainment depending on the event. 

Facilities & Amenities

Food & Drink: 

  • A range of kiosks and bars operate around the ground.
  • Hot food, snacks, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages are available (ID may be required).
  • Card is accepted everywhere; some events may also allow cash. 

Accessibility 

  • The stadium is wheelchair accessible.
  • Dedicated viewing areas and accessible toilets are available.
  • Disabled parking spaces are located near main entrances on a first-come basis.

General Notes

  • Toilets are spread throughout the ground.
  • Much of the terracing around the bowl is open-air — dress for the weather.
  • Umbrellas may not be allowed in certain seating areas for visibility reasons.

Safety Note – Crossing Rooley Avenue

There are no road closures in place on Rooley Avenue during events at Bartercard Odsal Stadium.

Supporters are strongly advised to use: 

  • The local pedestrian subway, or
  • The designated lower pedestrian crossings along Rooley Avenue 

These are the safest routes across this busy road and help ensure the smooth flow of traffic before and after events.

✔ Arrive early to beat the queues and enjoy the atmosphere.

✔ Check the event page for specific timings and any temporary changes.

✔ Bring both card and cash (just in case).

✔ Wrap up warm — Odsal can be breezy!

✔ Plan your route in advance, especially for large games.
