Bradford Bulls marked their return to Odsal Stadium in style with a stunning 37-18 defeat of York City Knights – making it six wins in a row!

A frantic opening to the game saw two quick tries, Bradford opening the scoring through Joe Brown, before Kieran Dixon touched down for York shortly after.

Jordan Lilley then darted over for a score, but Bradford were pegged back after Ryan Atkins broke through to score – before an Ashton Golding effort on debut re-established the hosts’ advantage. 

After the break, Ross Oakes crashed over after good work from Brown before smart game management from Danny Brough added another point to the scoreboard.

Chris Clarkson went over to narrow the scores, but Brown wrapped up the win, with his second of the game. 

John Kear handed debuts to former Bradford man Olly Wilson and Ashton Golding, after the pair signed on loan from Huddersfield in the week. 

Brown went over early on, after Bradford soaked up early Knights’ pressure, however the visitors responded as a high kick was taken by the in-form Dixon who touched down. 

Smart play from Lilley then allowed him space to hand the Bulls the advantage once again, before Brough added on two points after an infringement. 

York hit back once again through Atkins, but it was to be Bradford who went into half time leading. 

Debutant Golding then burrowed his way over in a rip-roaring first half back at Odsal, with the two sides going toe to toe. 

On the hooter, Brough slotted over two points to send Bradford into the sheds with a lengthy lead. 

After the interval, good play from Pickersgill and Brown sent Oakes through a gap to touch down, before Brough added one point. 

York gave Bradford a late scare when Clarkson shot through a gap, but Brown, with his second secured the win after York let a Brough high kick bounce.
