COME ON ENGLAND! BULLS SIGN BACK ROW TALENT
WE are delighted to announce exciting back-row talent Brad England will be a Bull in 2021 - having put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal to join John Kear's ranks.
The 25-year-old is a product of Castleford's Academy and has featured for Featherstone Rovers, prior to his four-year stint at current club Doncaster RLFC.
England became a key figure in Richard Horne's 'Dons' outfit and won their Player of the Year Award in 2018.
The back-row star has spoken of his excitement at the challenge - and the prospect of playing in front of the famous Bradford Bulls supporters.
“I am really excited to have signed, Bradford is a really big club with a massive fanbase and I cannot wait to get start and get stuck into training with all the lads," said Brad England.
"The team is going to be full of Super League talent and I cannot wait to play alongside the likes of Danny Brough and Aaron Murphy, getting involved and learning from them.
"The supporters were one of the main draws for me personally, the Bradford fans always travel in numbers and bring the noise which really excites me.
"I am ready for a step up and a different challenge and I want to prove to John I have what it takes and reward his faith in mine.
"The club is heading in the right direction and has big ambitions and I want to concentrate on the future and make sure I can contribute moving forward.”
Bradford boss John Kear insists his new recruit has all it takes to become an 'elite Championship player' - who adds further competition for places in the back row.
“I have known Brad since he was at Castleford as a junior, he had a very good reputation and although it did not work out for him there, he has since gone to Doncaster been a very valuable member of their squad.
"I am delighted he has challenged himself to become an elite Championship player but I have no doubt he can do that, in that edge back row position adding further competition for places.”
