FORMER BULLS STARS SET FOR ONE-OFF RETURN IN JJB TESTIMONIAL

A HOST of former Bradford Bulls stars are set to take to the field on Sunday against Leeds Rhinos for Jamie Jones-Buchanan’s testimonial – which is also raising money for The Rob Burrow Fund!

Robbie Hunter-Paul, Nathan McAvoy, Wayne Godwin, Matty Blythe, Stuart Fielden and Rob Parker will all pull on the red, amber and black in the closing stages of Sunday’s pre-season clash.

Sunday’s hosts will also be giving a run out to the likes of Kevin Sinfield and Jamie Peacock following their illustrious careers in a Leeds shirt.

Ahead of taking to the field one final time in a Bulls shirt, Robbie Hunter-Paul has spoken of his excitement at getting involved for such a great cause.

“I am really looking forward to pulling on the jersey again and getting back out on the field with all the boys – even though it is a bit daunting knowing I will be the oldest player on the pitch!” said Hunter-Paul.

“We enjoyed some classic matches against Leeds over the years and it promises to be a special, emotional afternoon celebrating the career of Jamie Jones-Buchanan and rallying round in support of a true legend in Rob Burrow.

“I call on the Bradford Bulls fans to purchase a ticket and get to the Emerald Headingley Stadium on Sunday and show their support to Rob and his family.”

The Rob Burrow Fund was set up following the Leeds Rhinos’ legend’s diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease in December.

The Bradford Bulls have pledged to donate all proceeds from gate receipts to The Rob Burrow Fund.
