Bradford Bulls faced a battered West Wales side this afternoon and showed no mercy with Dane Chisholm shinning, breaking numerous club records as the Bulls posted 21 tries, winning 124-0.

After a heavy defeat last week to York City Knights and departing ways with their head coach, West Wales faced an uphill battle against a free-scoring Bradford side.

The Bulls held the visitors to a scoreless game, remaining in control throughout, giving them little room to work in defence and persisting with their ruthless in attack for the full 80-minutes.

Callum Bustin kicked off proceedings with just four minutes on the clock. Supplied from an offload on the face of the Raiders line, the in-form prop made a move for a gap in the line to touch down and score.

Dalton Grant quickly followed suit, after fast passing from left to right gave the Welsh Wizard room to stroll over in the corner.

Emulating his try from last week against Doncaster, Ethan Ryan leapt over his opposing winger on the tenth minute and scored his first of the afternoon.

Sam Hallas added his name to the growing scoresheet, as he put his head down and charged forward to beat his opposing number in the tackle and score under the posts.

Taking the ball straight from kick-off, Matty Garside barged his way through the defensive line to feed the ball to Ethan Ryan, in turn, gave the ball to Dane Chisholm to take it the length of the field and touch down under the posts.Putting pen to paper on a contract extension until the end of the season, James Laithwaite gave the shout to Chisholm, who offloaded the ball in the tackle in front of the Raiders line, allowing the second-row to stroll over and score.

After just entering the field, Ross Peltier broke the line with a threatening diagonal run, dumping the ball off to Brandon Pickersgill, who fed Lee Smith. The former Super League man took it 40m to finish off a well-rounded move.

Matt Garside added his name to the growing scoreboard, as the second row stepped inside and around the defender to stroll in.

Prior to the half-time break, Pickersgill and Chisholm both crossed for tries, giving the Bulls a 60-0 lead at half time.

Matt Garside was the next to step up and claim his brace, as Ethan Ryan broke down the left flank and floated a perfectly weighted pass over the top for the second row to score.

Bradford came out of the half-time team talk continuing to pile on the pressure, scoring five early tries through Minchella, Garside, Pickersgill and Peltier.

Vila Halafihi supported Bradford’s break as the hooker called for the inside pass from Hallas, to take the ball centre field and score.

Brandon Pickersgill showcased his half-back class with a fantastic cut-out pass to Grant, who strolled in the corner for his second of the afternoon.

Entering the field at half-time, Elliot Minchella claimed a second half hat-trick, as yet another dangerous diagonal run saw him make his way to the line and outpace the full-back to score.

Before setting up Matty Garside in the closing minutes of the game, Ethan Ryan barged his way over the line in the corner to add his name to the ‘brace-list’.

Later, his mazing run from his own 40m line gave room for Matty Garside to call for the pass and barge over the line in a three-man tackle.

Scoring the final try of the afternoon, George Flanagan made sure he put the ball down this time as the hooker called for the inside pass from Chisholm, touching down under the sticks.

With this victory, John Kear’s side take the top spot in the Betfred League 1 competition.
