ROOKS KEEN ON KEAR LINK UP

ADAM Rooks has spoken of his excitement of running out in the red, amber and black – hailing head coach John Kear as a huge factor in his season-long loan move from Hull Kingston Rovers.

The 19-year-old, who is a versatile forward, made six appearances for the Humberside outfit in 2019.

Rooks also represented Yorkshire and England Academy this year - alongside fellow Bradford stars Harry Shackleton and Ethan O’Hanlon.

The forward is relishing the opportunity for game time – speaking of his excitement at playing in front of the Bradford supporters.

“I am really looking forward to the opportunity, when Tony (Smith) offered me the chance to come to Bradford I spoke to the former Bradford lads and they had nothing but good things to say,” said Rooks.

“It is my first loan move so I was not sure how it would work but I spoke to John Kear and as soon as I got off the phone with him I was absolutely buzzing to come down.

“To be getting regular gametime at a really good level in the Betfred Championship will be great for me and I look forward to helping Bradford in 2020.

“I have seen Bradford over the years and despite dropping down divisions the fans have still turned out in numbers.

“They have still been there backing the team and that is a proper fan base and I am looking forward to running out in front of them."
