FEATHERSTONE MATCH REPORT

Bradford Bulls booked a spot in the Betfred Championship semi-finals with a dominant 28-8 victory over Featherstone Rovers at Bartercard Odsal last night.
Brian Noble made five changes to the side that beat Featherstone in league action last weekend, with Jordan Lilley, Waqa Blake, Chris Hill, Zane Musgrove and Matty Gee all returning.
The visitors opened the scoring via a penalty goal from Danny Addy, after James Glover was caught high metres from the Bradford line.
Bradford responded in perfect fashion, when a looping pass from Luke Hooley sent Jayden Okunbor racing down the wing for his 19th try of the season.
It wasn’t 19 for long however, with Mitch Souter making a break and finding Okunbor, who stepped inside well to wrestle past two defenders to score.
The visitors started the second half strong and piled the pressure on the Bradford line, but the home defence held firm and went on to the extend their lead.
A lovely passage of play with offloads aplenty took the Bulls within range and Holmes’ grubber through was collected by Jorge Taufua.
Bradford were in again with Holmes influential, whose lovely inside pass was crashed onto by Ebon Scurr.
Featherstone would get over the Bradford line after a spell of five repeat sets, with Caleb Aekins stretching out to score.
But the final act came from Jorge Taufua and a superb team move saw him score his second of the evening for the icing on the cake.
