DOMINANT BULLS SEE OFF IN-FORM OLDHAM

Bradford Bulls returned to winning ways with an impressive 28-12 victory over Oldham at a noisy Bartercard Odsal last night.

Brian Noble made three changes to the side for the clash – with Tom Holmes, Guy Armitage and Mitch Souter all returning.

Jordan Lilley kicked the Bulls ahead earlier before a dominant showing reaped two tries from Jayden Okunbor.

A lovely set play from a scrum 40 metres out saw the returning Holmes send a looping pass to Okunbor, who raced down the wing.

He scored in similar fashion soon after, when another neat move saw Blake feed his wingman on this occasion to score.

The visitors would get themselves on the scoreboard just before the break however, with Ben O’Keefe.

The second half started in the same vein as the first, with the boot of Lilley nudging the Bulls further ahead.

Matty Gee saw a try ruled out for a forward pass but it wasn’t long before Bradford extended their advantage, with the impressive Tom Holmes sending Kieran Gill over.

Oldham hit back when a fortunate ricochet led to Josh Drinkwater dotting down to reduce the arrears.

The ultimate fans’ favourite, Eribe Doro, got the try his performance deserved and finished with aplomb, an acrobatic effort arguably drawing the biggest cheers on the night as the Bulls returned to winning ways.

BRADFORD BULLS: Luke Hooley, Jayden Okunbor, Waqa Blake, Kieran Gill, Guy Armitage, Tom Holmes, Joe Keyes, Logan Bayliss, Jordan Lilley, Fenton Rogers, Matty Gee, Zac Fulton, Eribe Doro. INTERCHANGES: Ronan Michael, Ebon Scurr, Mitch Souter, Sam Hallas. 18th MAN: James Meadows.
