HURRELLCANE INCOMING!

Bradford Bulls are delighted to announce Tongan powerhouse Konrad Hurrell has joined the club on an initial two-week loan deal from Super League side St Helens!
The 33-year-old has enjoyed a glittering career since making his debut for NRL outfit New Zealand Warriors in 2012, going on to make 100 appearances in the Southern Hemisphere’s premier competition.
Renowned for his big hits off the ball and destructive carries with the ball, his eye-catching displays earned him a move to Leeds Rhinos, where he spent three years before moving to the Totally Wicked Stadium, where he has won a League Leaders’ Shield, a Super League Grand Final and a World Club Challenge trophy.
Bulls Head Coach Brian Noble, sponsored by Paints & Lacquers, has hailed Hurrell’s arrival as a statement of intent as we approach the halfway stage of the Betfred Championship season.
“It’s very exciting, clearly Konrad has played at a high level of Rugby League for a number of years. He is a Tongan international, he has played in the World All Stars and has made headlines wherever he has been, so for him to choose us is fantastic.
“He ticks those boxes [being a box office player] so I think the Bradford fans will be pleased. He has been out injured for a few weeks, but he is back fully fit and good to go.
“It shows the ambition of the board and our true ambitions for this year. We’ve seen a couple of players leave and we have picked up some injuries again, so it was important we filled the space with the right person and I don’t believe in bringing in anyone who isn’t as good or better than what we have got.
“We know he can come in and make a difference, there is always a lot of noise around players being happy and making sure they want to play, Konrad wants to play and I have no doubt about his ability to come in and make a difference to us.”
Konrad is poised to make his Bradford Bulls debut as we host York Knights at Bartercard Odsal this Sunday - looking to stretch to eight league wins in a row, which would be our best run for 10 years!
Your support, as always, is vital for us and we'd love to see a bumper Bradford crowd, loud and proud, backing the boys this Sunday!
