BULLS DOWN EAGLES TO MAKE IT FIVE WINS ON THE SPIN

Bradford Bulls made it five wins on the spin with a 32-20 victory over Sheffield Eagles at Bartercard Odsal this afternoon.

The Bulls were forced into a number of changes due to injuries sustained in recent weeks, with Tyran Ott, Nathan Mason, Logan Bayliss and Kieran Gill all returning.

Jordan Lilley kicked an early penalty before Mitch Souter dummied and darted over from the base of a scrum. 

Despite enjoying a dominant opening half hour, the visitors scored three tries in quick succession to take a half-time lead.

After the break, Eliot Peposhi was sent to the sin bin, leaving the Bulls a man light for ten minutes. Cory Aston initially took advantage with a penalty goal. 

That didn’t deter Bradford, who roared back into the contest in style. 

Lilley started and finished a move on the right edge, trading passes with Jayden Okunbor. 

Soon after parity was restored in the playing personnel, Zac Fulton scored after a miracle offload on the last tackle from Lilley. 

Roared on by a buoyant Bradford crowd, Luke Hooley was on the end of a break by Waqa Blake to take the Bulls back into the lead. 

Fulton then produced a superb try saving tackle on Cory Aston to maintain Bradford’s advantage.

Hooley kicked the Bulls two points further ahead after a superb 20/40 by Lilley got the home side within range.

Mason, making his first appearance since scoring two tries against Sheffield last time out, barged over to seal the win for the Bulls to cap an impressive second half display.
