JAMIE GILL SIGNS NEW DEAL
Bradford Bulls are delighted to announce that academy product Jamie Gill has committed his future to the club by signing a new one-year deal.
The highly rated youngster, who has risen through the Bulls’ Scholarship and Academy ranks, will remain at Bartercard Odsal for the 2025 season.
Prop forward Gill becomes the third player signed on for the 2025 season from the club’s pathway system this year, following in the footsteps of Jacob Bateman and Sam Ackroyd.
Jamie, who is sponsored by Christopher and Katie Williams, expressed his excitement at staying with the Bulls.
"I am really happy to be staying at Bradford. I have really enjoyed my time here having started in the Scholarship a few years ago. We are building an exciting squad for 2025, and there are so many players I can learn from. I feel it will help me develop further by being able to train with them and learn from them on a consistent basis."
Gill also spoke about his experience playing on loan with Cornwall towards the end of the 2024 season.
"I enjoyed getting some experience with Cornwall to the back end of the season, playing in a tough competition against some good teams. I am now looking forward to getting back in for pre-season and showing what I can do to be able to get some first team minutes next year."
Ryan Hunkin, the club’s Head of Youth, praised Jamie's development and potential.
"I am delighted Jamie Gill has chosen to stay at the club for another year. His development since first arriving in our Scholarship has been there for all to see, and the most exciting thing is there is so much more to come from him. He will undoubtedly have benefitted from his time at Cornwall towards the end of the 2024 season, and I am looking forward to seeing him apply himself in and around our first team environment."
Hunkin, who is sponsored by Fleur Hall, also highlighted the significance of retaining homegrown players like Jamie.
"The fact another of our promising young, homegrown players feels the Bulls is the best place for his development is further evidence of the club’s progress and commitment to its pathway. I’d like to thank our coaches, off-field staff, volunteers, members of Bullbuilder and #BullsNextGen for their continued support in helping players like Jamie emerge from our Pathway system and enter our first team."
