BULLS END REGULAR SEASON WITH NINE-TRY ROUT

Bradford Bulls ran in nine tries to round off the 2024 Betfred Championship regular season with a 50-0 victory over Swinton Lions at Bartercard Odsal this afternoon.

Eamon O’Carroll’s side went into the clash on the back of defeat last time out but they quickly set about making amends when Max Lehmann scored in the left corner after a set play from a scrum.

Some neat improvisation set Tom Holmes up for a score soon after in a man of the match display.

The visitors refused to lie down despite Bradford enjoying the territorial advantage – however quickfire scores enhanced the hosts’ lead with the half time hooter closing in.

Franklin Pele scored his first of the contest with a typically powerful effort from 20 metres following a short ball from the impressive Jarrod Sammut.

Soon after, Holmes produced an audacious pass on his own line to Lehmann – who raced the full length of the field to score a spectacular effort.

The Bulls weren’t done there however, Logan Bayliss performing a one on one ball strip on Tee Ritson inside the Lions try line and the powerful forward dotted down for his first try in Bradford colours.

The match followed the same pattern in the second half with Bradford dominant in every area of the game and a familiar face scored his 20th try of the season.

Having had a try disallowed on his return to action last weekend, there was no denying Kieran Gill this week – who pounced on a Jordan Lilley grubber.

Pele went on a rampage for his second soon after, swatting away a number of Swinton defenders to dive over.

Jayden Myers then scored his second try in two games on the back of some lovely linking play between hands on the right edge.

A healthy lead allowed for O’Carroll to give some players a breather with full time closing in, but there was still time for Pele to grab his hat trick with a trademark effort.
