BULLS BLITZ MAKES IT THREE WINS ON THE SPIN

Bradford Bulls made it three wins on the spin as a first half blitz laid the platform for a 38-4 win over Doncaster at Bartercard Odsal yesterday afternoon.

A frantic opening ten minutes saw both sides make a number of errors but once the Doncaster line was breached, the Bulls didn’t look back. 

On the last tackle, John Davies showed superb strength and determination to ground the ball in the corner for his first try in Bradford colours. 

Mitch Souter darted over from close range for his second score in as many games which kickstarted a dominant period for the Bulls. 

A familiar combination then extended Bradford’s advantage, with Kieran Gill pouncing on a kick from Jordan Lilley for his 16^th try of the season. 

The Bulls went back-to-back when Jayden Okunbor leapt like a salmon to score his third try in just five appearances on loan in the red, amber and black. 

Things got even better for the home side when Tom Holmes – on his 150^th career appearance – danced his way through the Dons defence. 

O’Carroll’s charges started the second half in the same vein they ended the first, Keven Appo extending Bradford’s lead with a typically powerful close-range effort. 

Doncaster would get on the scoreboard through Tom Holliday’s leaping effort in the right corner.

With the hooter on the horizon, Lilley capped an impressive individual performance with a close range effort to bring the curtain down on a fifth win in six games.
