O'CARROLL ISSUES INJURY UPDATE

Bradford boss Eamon O'Carroll has provided an update on a number of players who missed the win over Dewsbury, or sustained injuries in the process.

“Bruno [Michael Lawrence] had a bit of illness alongside a slight back issue so we didn’t want to push him and Daniel Smith was severely ill with this bug that’s been going round so they weren’t able to train.

“Daniel is feeling much better and I am expecting him to train this week but we will give Bruno the time he needs. He is kicking himself and is desperate to play but it is a long old season we need him firing and at his best so we will look after him.

“Ben has gone for a scan so we are waiting on the results but it was not looking good, I would expect he going to miss a period which is disappointing as he is big for us. we will do the right thing by Ben and he will get the right treatment so when he comes back he gives us a boost, whether that’s in weeks or months I’m not sure yet.

“Ebon is sore, it’s not as concerning as we first thought we just need to let his knee settle down and get an update, its positive looking at him but the tackle was not great, you could see from the player’s reaction it was a bad one technically but by the looks of him we probably have got away with one.

“We will give him as much time as we possibly can as he is big for us, he doesn’t want to miss a game but we will be smart, if he isn’t right he won’t feature.

“Eribe is much better, he will need some managing which is a little concerning as he has been fantastic for us with his effort and energy, he is a real valuable member of the squad so we don’t want to over do it.

“It’s looking positive with Billy, he’s looking a lot more comfortable with his back, I am really pleased for Billy he should train and be in contention to play.”
