RESERVES RALLY TO ROUND ROBINS

Billy Jowitt scored a last-gasp try as our Reserves - who were down to 12 men - produced a superb comeback to beat Hull Kingston Rovers 28-26 on Saturday!

A fast start from the home side saw Brad England - fresh off a two-match ban - go over on a crash ball close to the Robins' line.

That lead was extended soon after when Myles Lawford's perfectly weighted grubber was grounded by winger Charlie Barrett.

Both sides competed well in horrendous conditions but it would be the visitors to trouble the scoreboard next, Louix Gorman going over in the right corner.

England was then given his marching orders, with the officials alleging the forward threw a punch in a melee, with the Bulls playing the remaining 55 minutes with a man less.

That contentious call galvanised the visitors and two unanswered scores - through Jacob Parkinson and Oliver Forsyth - handed Hull KR 16-8 lead at the break.

Fresh out of the sheds at the start of the second half, Joe Kellett raced onto a crash ball near the visitors' line to reduce the arrears.

No score followed for the next 25 minutes before a frantic final ten.

The boot of George Flanagan Jnr levelled proceedings before a diving finish by Mackenzie Scurr handed Bradford the lead once more.

Back-to-back scores from Forsyth and Connor Barley handed Hull KR a very late four-point lead.

And with seconds left on the clock, Jowitt scooted from dummy half and danced around four would-be defenders to touch down, with Flanagan Jnr converting to seal a stunning victory.
