RESERVES RALLY TO TOPPLE TRINITY

Bradford Bulls Reserves produced a second half comeback to beat Wakefield Trinity 22-14 at Odsal Stadium last night.
The visitors broke the deadlock on 9 minutes, when Joe Law touched down in the right corner.
It didn’t take long for the Bulls to respond, a neat reverse kick by Flanagan Jnr was pounced upon by Jaden Barraclough to hand the home side the lead.
Despite being temporarily reduced to 12 men, the young Bulls held firm but the visitors would restore their advantage prior to the half-time break.
A move down the left edge was finished acrobatically by the experienced Tom Lineham.
A series of high tackles from Wakefield then saw a Trinity player sent to the Sin Bin and the Bulls capitalised soon after.
Masi Matongo, who impressed throughout the contest, barged his way past three would be defenders to touch down under the posts.
The home side were probing again but a looping pass was intercepted by Sam Kavanagh who raced the length of the field to once again put Trinity back into the lead.
Back came Bradford however and the boot of Flanagan Jnr once again proved influential, his kick this time being collected by trialist Dom Waites to score.
The visitors threatened a late response but it would be the Bulls who would score the final try of the evening to seal the win.
Jayden Myers superbly finished despite the attention of three Wakefield defenders to add the cherry onto the icing on a great night’s work for the Reserves.
