FOUNDATION RECRUITING PROJECT AND RUGBY LEAGUE OFFICER

The Bradford Bulls Foundation are recruiting for a Project and Rugby League Officer to start early next year.

Job Description – Project and Rugby League Officer

Reporting to:             CEO

Employment type:    Full time / 37.5 hours per week

Location: The Bradford Bulls Foundation, Odsal Stadium, Bradford, BD6 1BS

Renumeration - Competitive 

Start date: January / February 2023 

Job Purpose

To deliver a range of programmes, projects, events, and initiatives that increase participation across the game of Rugby League, for all ages and abilities within the city of Bradford.

To develop and manage a range of programmes, projects, events and initiatives that increase participation opportunities for people of all ages and abilities in the community in activities which improve physical fitness and mental wellbeing and help to improve the overall health of our service users, including successful holiday camps for children.

  • Experience of community development and evidence of working to engage diverse communities
  • Experience of managing projects within a set geography and inputting into a project budget
  • Experience of managing relationships
  • Experience of managing development camps, events.

Duties and responsibilities

·       To lead on the community-based projects to maximise the impact of the work delivered.

o   Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders.

o   Ensure project delivery is to a high standard.

o   Lead on the monitoring and evaluation aspects of all projects.

 

·       Be the main point of contact for community Rugby League clubs across the district for the Bulls foundation.

·       Ensure areas of work are aligned to the strategic plan of the organisation.

·       Promote the Foundation to the local community groups in a professional manner which helps position it as a delivery partner of choice.

·       Lead and oversee a wide range of events.

·       Plan and deliver at all Foundation holiday camps.

·       Work with the Senior Management Team to identify funding opportunities for new projects which fall within foundation strategic plan.

·       Ensure all new initiatives and projects are supported with a realistic delivery and budget plans.

·       Support colleagues in the operations of the Foundation across the local community and on Bradford Bulls game days.

·       Ensure strict adherence to the Foundation’s diversity and inclusivity policies in all activities to ensure the Foundation can improve access to and deliver to people from all backgrounds.

·       Ensure strict adherence to the Foundation’s Health & Safety policy and the UK Government’s Covid-19 guidelines in all activities to ensure the Foundation is able to deliver in a safe and compliant manner.

Appointment to this role is subject to a satisfactory advanced DBS Check (with children’s barred list check) and appointment is dependent on clearance and obtaining two suitable references.
