MARTYN OXBURY APPOINTED SCHOLARSHIP HEAD COACH

Bradford Bulls are delighted to announce that Martyn Oxbury has been appointed Scholarship Head Coach!

Martyn joins the club after coaching at Stanningley and England Community Lions, alongside Ryan Hunkin.

He has also worked with Mark Dunning and Leigh Beattie in his time as Scholarship Assistant Coach.

He labels it as a huge opportunity to work for such a prestigious club, with his full quotes below.

"I'm absolutely delighted to become Scholarship Head Coach, I cannot wait to get started at such a prestigious club and work with the talented players in the Scholarship side", said Martyn.

"It's a fantastic opportunity for myself and I'm honoured to be given the role, I will be giving my all to help the players reach their potential.

"I have coached at Stanningley for over a decade, at representative level with Yorkshire (BARLA Counties) as well as coaching with England Community Lions for the past 4 years where I have worked alongside new Head of Youth Ryan Hunkin. I've also got a really good relationship with Mark (Dunning) and Leigh (Beattie) having been Assistant Scholarship Coach in the past.

"I've coached players at Stanningley that have progressed in the Bradford pathway and gone on to play for the first team, so I hope I can bring that experience to Bradford with the players in the Scholarship system.

"2023 will be focused on player development and ensuring they reach their full potential to enable them to progress into the Academy. Bradford have always produced a number of high-quality players and that is something I want to continue.”
