LONDON BRONCOS OPPOSITION GUIDE

Ahead of Saturday's battle with the Broncos, we take an in-depth look at Mike Eccles' side!

Formbook

-       London Broncos head into Saturday’s game after a recent revival under Interim Head Coach Mike Eccles, which saw them turn a 28-0 deficit to defeat Sheffield Eagles two weeks ago.

      -  They also ran Featherstone Rovers close in their last fixture, with the Flatcappers eventually running out winners in that fixture.

The Squad

-       London Broncos were relegated from Super League in 2019 after a valiant effort in which they almost survived the drop.

-       Now in 2022, their squad has gone through many changes.

-       The capital club boast several overseas imports, such as winger Paul Ulberg, who crossed for two tries vs Bradford, back in Febuary.

- Dean Parata, the speedy hooker is also a player to watch, the former Featherstone man still impressing in the Championship.

The Coach

-       London Broncos are coached by Mike Eccles, who is Interim Head Coach after the departure of Jermaine Coleman.

- Mike took the reins of Interim Head Coach, moving up from Head of Performance at the club, after being one of the longest serving members of staff.

- He has overseen two wins, both against Dewsbury and Sheffield Eagles to steer the club away from the relegation zone.

Connections

-       London boast a few connections with Bradford, with both former players Dalton Grant and Illess Macani joining the Broncos in 2022.

-       Grant joined the club in 2018 and was a major success story, helping the club to promotion at the first time and was in the 2019 team that famously beat Leeds Rhinos in the Challenge Cup.

- Macani played for the club in 2017, and racked up ten tries in a difficult season.

The Stadium

-       London Broncos play their home games at Plough Lane, which is a newly built stadium and the home of football club AFC Wimbledon.

Previous Affairs

-       Bradford last faced London Broncos in 2021, in which we ran out 31-8 winners, a superb performance on the day as we defeated London Broncos for the first time since 2016.

-       The last victory against London Broncos at home came in 2016, with a 28-20 win at Odsal Stadium, the tries coming through Kurt Haggerty (2), Matty Blythe, James Clare and Ethan Ryan.
