BULLS WOMEN SNAP UP PARTNERSHIP

Bradford Bulls Women are delighted to announce the formation of an exciting new partnership with Australian side Como Jannali JRLFC!

Founded in 1947, the Como Jannali Junior Rugby League Football Club has a rich history and is proudly supported by its local community in the Sutherland Shire of Sydney.

The Bradford Bulls Women’s team are just a week away from the start of their Betfred Super League 2 season – with head coach Shaun Flynn preparing for his first full season at the helm.

The principal goal of the partnership is to give players over the age of 18 from both clubs the opportunity to play in a competitive competition in a different hemisphere.

Bradford Bulls Women’s Head Coach Shaun Flynn said:

“This is an exciting time for the women’s team here at Bradford partnering up with an established club over in Australia, it just show you how the women’s game is growing over her and with the talent we have seen in the Women’s NRL then if we can give players the opportunity here and there then it can only make the women’s game better.

“Speaking with Adam and Dwayne over at Como who are heavily involved in the club, it didn’t take long to understand that both clubs have the same ambition which for the women’s game to grow, opportunities like this was don’t come around so to to be apart of these early stages of this partnership is great. We look forward to getting players playing in the black and amber kit, we need to start working on what players we are looking for.”

Como Jannali JRLFC Senor Coaching and Recruitment Co-Ordinator Adam Cranney said:

"Bradford Bulls are a big name in English Rugby League, and Como-Jannali are delighted to partner with them and grow the Womens game. This opportunity will provide a pathway for our Womens team to explore another country and play Rugby League as well. Bradford Bulls have been a pleasure to deal with over the past few months, and the share the same passion for developing the game of Rugby League, in particular, the women's game. We are so excited to about this opportunity and would love to see our Women take up the opportunity that is on offer. Both clubs can build on this partnership and look for other opportunities in the commercial and sponsorship areas and hopefully expand into the mens side of the clubs."
