BULLS FALL TO CENTURIONS DEFEAT

Bradford Bulls fell to a 38-4 defeat at the hands of Leigh Centurions yesterday evening.

The home side went over early on, through Keanan Brand, finishing in the corner.

Despite a numerical disadvantage, Kieran Gill touched down to level the scores before a late Chamberlain score.

A quickfire double from The Centurions saw them take a hold on the game, through former Bull Jy Hitchcox and Mark Ioane.

Leigh wrapped up the game through Keanan Brand who scored his second late on, with Nene Macdonald, Dan Norman and Ed Chamberlain also touching down.

Head Coach John Kear brought new signing Chester Butler in for his debut after he impressed on Saturday.

With both sides chasing their second win of the season, they went toe to toe, with Leigh breaking the deadlock early on through Brand, flying over in the corner.

Walker was sent for ten minutes soon after, but superb defence kept Leigh out for the duration of the sinbinning.

Bradford weren’t behind for long however, as Gill darted over for his fourth of the season, after good work from Patton.

Both sides exchanged sets for a period, with penalties being the difference as the latest one allowed Leigh an attack on the Bradford line, with Chamberlain scoring to restore the lead.

Heroic defence saw Leigh blow another attack in the final seconds of the first half.

Bradford started the second half well, the home side swiftly moved up the field and Hitchcox found space to score.

They were over again through Ioane after a fast break in the centre of the park.

Another decision went against Bradford, as Reynolds coughed up possession, but a penalty was awarded and Brand grabbed his second, on the back of the call.

Macdonald and Norman rounded off the scoring with Bradford having given everything they had out there.

Foggin-Johnston was sent off late on for a late shot on Aaron Smith.
