BULLS SIGN POWERHOUSE KIBULA

Bradford Bulls are delighted to announce the signing of powerhouse Samy Kibula on a one-year deal from Super League outfit Warrington Wolves!

The 22-year-old was a member of Wigan’s Academy side that enjoyed Grand Final success in 2017 and 2018. 

Standing tall at 6ft 4ins, the Congo-born forward then joined ‘The Wire’ in 2020, having enjoyed loan spells at Swinton Lions and Dewsbury Rams in 2019. 

Kibula has spoken of his excitement at joining Bradford – admitting he wants to help the club achieve its goals of securing a return to Super League. 

“I am excited to be joining Bradford – it is a massive club and I am looking forward to getting started and helping the club get to its goals,” said Kibula. 

“It is a massive club with a massive fan base and when I met the coaches (John Kear and Mark Dunning), they have massive ambitions of getting back to Super League and I wanted to be at Bradford to help them do that. 

“It has been my toughest year yet having been out for a while so I just want to get back playing rugby and having experience in the Championship will be massive for me. 

“I am good mates with Dec who was announced last week and although we didn’t play much together, he has got great skill and we can help push each other throughout the year. 

“I have been at Wigan and Warrington and trained and played with some great prios and now joining Bradford I have more great role models to learn off to help improve my game.”

"He is a big fella, he really is - he suffered a season ending injury this year but he was highly thought of at Wigan and Warrington so he has come through some good systems," said Kear, who is sponsored by Bradford Bulls Banter.

"He certainly adds size and we really will look to maximise his size and ability in an impactful way."
