BULLS WOMEN IN SEMI FINAL DEFEAT

Bradford Bulls Women saw their 2021 play-off campaign come to an end with a 30-12 defeat against Featherstone Rovers on Sunday.

A close-fought opening quarter saw just a sole score trouble the scoring ledger, Brogan Kennedy benefitting from a Bradford error.

Shaun Flynn’s side hit back in style however with two quickfire tries – with Bailey Alexander and Hannah Donald touching down before the break.

A lovely move on the left saw Cookland feed Alexander – who stepped her way past two would-be defenders to touch down.

Then a break from halfway saw Donald race away down the left flank to hand Bradford the lead prior to the interval.

The home side responded after the break however and retook the lead when Brogan Churm powered her way over close to the line.

Kennedy then went over for her second of the game to extend Featherstone’s lead but Bradford hit back.

Sarah Dunn stepped her way past numerous Featherstone defenders to bring Bradford back within two.

A neat reverse ball from the retiring Dobson put Hepworth through a gap to go under the sticks for the home side.

Hepworth got her second soon after to take the game away from Bradford, before Dobson capped her final home game off in style with a score under the posts.
