Well it all went wrong in the last twenty minutes at Warrington.  We started well enough and scored some points but we made far too many errors.  All the errors we made were unforced too and things like dropping the ball in our own quarter meant we had far too much tackling to do and that came back to bite us on the backside late in the game. We defended our try line really well in the first half and we were proud of that effort but eventually it took its toll and cost us dearly at the end.  More

The former Australian Schoolboy International played at Newcastle Knights, St.George Illawara Dragons and West Tigers before joining the Wildcats in the close season of 2002 and missed only four games in his time at Belle Vue. Jeffries has exceptional pace, a tremendous kicking game and has added a great deal of variety to the Bulls attack. He has slotted in well alongside Paul Deacon and scored 11 tries in his first season with the Bulls.

Ben was born in Sydney, New South Wales and started playing Rugby League at an early age.  It was while he was a pupil at Forster High that Ben played for the famous Australian Schoolboys team in 1998.  He joined St George-Illawarra in 1999 but after making only a solitary appearance for them he joined Wests Tigers in 2001.  Seven tries in 27 games for the Tigers alerted clubs in England and he joined Wakefield Trinity Wildcats for the 2003 season, staying at Belle Vue for five years, during which time he scored 69 tries in 143 appearances.

In 2008 he joined Bradford Bulls and alternated between the Stand Off and Scrum Half berths in harness with both Paul Deacon and Iestyn Harris.  In all he played 27 times for the Bulls last season, scoring 11 tries and is looking forward to establishing himself in the Stand Off role in 2009
