MARK OFFERDAHL has today become head coach James Lowes' fifth new addition for 2015, after signing a one-year deal with the club.

The 26-year-old forward was a star of the USA's World Cup show last year, as the Tomahawks made it through to the competition’s last eight.

Offerdahl began this season with Kingstone Press Championship side North Wales Crusaders, before agreeing a move to St George Illawarra Dragons.

And Bradford boss Lowes believes the former Manly Sea Eagles and ASC Carcassonne talent is capable of making a big impact at the Provident Stadium.

“Mark will add a lot of power, size and energy to our front line next year,” said the Bulls chief.

“He is a player who has really impressed me and I am pleased with the homework we have done on him.

“Mark is keen to come over and have a crack at Super League with us. But, in order to do that, he knows he will have to play his part in helping us earn promotion in 2015.

“He is an international forward, who I felt did a great job for the USA in the World Cup, and this a big chance for him to prove himself.

“Hopefully, he will do well here and the one-year deal will become much longer.

“I believe Mark's addition will further enhance the good blend of forwards we are putting together.”

Offerdahl's arrival takes Lowes' squad for next season into double figures and you will be able to read a full interview with the Australian-born prop – on the official Bradford Bulls website – from 5.00pm.

Meanwhile, the Bulls return to First:Utility Super League action next Sunday, when Lee Radford's Hull FC visit the Provident Stadium (kick-off 3.00pm).
