GROSVENOR CASINO TO STAGE BULLS POKER EVENING

03 May 2015

WE are delighted to announce details of the inaugural Bradford Bulls Poker Evening, taking place next month at Grosvenor Casino, Bradford.

On Monday May 11, from 7.00pm, you can join the entire first-team squad for an evening of luck, chance and excitement at the casino based within the city’s Leisure Exchange.

The event forms part of ‘Robbie’s Big 10’, in association with the Bradford Bulls Foundation (Charity No: 1106608) and The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice (Charity No: 1110457), and all proceeds made on the evening split between the two charities.

Grosvenor Casinos are acting as the main partner for the event, playing a key role in its hosting and organising of the evening.

The Foundation would like to thank Bradford Bulls, Smarta Environment, Credit Resource Solutions, O’Hara’s, the Bradford Bulls Supporters Group, Partnership Business Services, FN Bishops, R&R Ice Cream, Narangs Wholesalers, BullBuilder and School ICT Services – who have all agreed to support this exciting and unique event.

Robbie Hunter-Paul said: “It is fantastic to have Grosvenor Casinos supporting what looks set to be a tremendous evening of poker – and entertainment.

“In the name of charity, we would love to see the Bradford Bulls family secure tickets and take on their favourite players away from the field!

“As a trustee of the Bradford Bulls Foundation, I am proud to be working with so many fantastic partners and the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, who do fantastic work to support children and their families when they need it most.

“With over 100 tickets already secured, I would urge anyone who hasn’t already got a ticket to hurry and buy now. This will be an evening to remember!”

Charlotte Scoular, Grosvenor Casino’s events and sales manager, added: “It is always a pleasure to work with any business that has the City of Bradford and its community at its heart.

“Grosvenor Casino Bradford is keen to support local projects and charity fundraisers in and around Bradford and have really enjoyed working with the Bradford Bulls on the fantastic challenge they have set with Robbie’s Big 10.

“Forget me not is working equally as hard in their fundraising efforts around the Kirklees district and across the region and we are especially proud to be affiliated with such a worthwhile organisation.

“Grosvenor Casino is very excited to be host for the Charity Tournament and I know that our members are waiting in anticipation for the Bulls to make their appearance at the poker tables.”

Tickets cost just £10 per person, and can be purchased by CLICKING HERE or calling a member of our team on 08448 711 490 during normal office hours.

SIDLOW: IT'S TIME TO BRING OUR A GAME

30 Apr 2015

FRONT-ROW star Adam Sidlow knows he and his fellow Bradford Bulls must bring their A-game in order to see off the threat of third-placed Sheffield Eagles.

The 27-year-old former Salford prop admits Bradford are yet to have performed to their potential, insisting there is “much more to come”.

However, “winning ugly” is something the Bulls can take positives from, according to the one-time Widnes Viking who arrived at the Provident Stadium, Odsal, in 2012.

“We certainly haven’t hit our straps yet but knowing there is much more to come from is encouraging,” said Sidlow, who is sponsored by Gareth Rider – manager at Thornton Lodge Nursery.

“We have only lost one game so far without bringing our so-called ‘A-game’, that is another positive.

“But we know we need to improve in order to achieve our goal of promotion, being able to match the big boys of Super League.

“We are fast approaching the second half of the season and need to begin gathering some momentum, with the ‘Super Eights’ just around the corner.”

Meanwhile, Sidlow has welcomed the addition of Steve Crossley to the Bulls’ impressive pack.

Steve Crossley re-joined the club last week and debuted in Bradford’s hard-fought victory over Doncaster on Sunday.

Sidlow believes his arrival will provide a major boost for James Lowes’ side, while offering further competition for places up front.

“Steve has come in and looked really solid, adding brilliantly to what we have already got,” he added.

“Once he gets settled and forms combinations with the rest of the boys we will no doubt see the best of him.

“We have a large number of forwards here but competition for places is always healthy.”
