LEE GASKELL says he and his fellow Bradford Bulls are hoping to gather momentum by seeing off Iestyn Harris' Salford Red Devils on Sunday afternoon.
The 24-year-old knows victory over his former employers would edge the Bulls closer to safety, as their fight for First:Utility Super League survival continues.
Francis Cummins' men enter the 3.00pm round-sixteen clash seeking a second-successive league win, having battled past Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at the start of the month.
“Sunday is going to be massive for us but we go into the game with a positive mindset – and full of confidence,” said Gaskell, who is being proudly sponsored by Hudson Foster.
“We feel we can beat anyone if we play to the best of our ability, so we are looking forward to taking on Salford.
“We believe it is a winnable fixture and everyone is up for the challenge.
“I had a great time there but will be going back with only one thing on my mind – winning!”
Gaskell agreed a two-year deal with the Bulls after last season completing a 12-month loan with the AJ Bell Stadium outfit.
And the former St Helens star is full focused on ensuring Bradford's survival in the top flight.
“Injuries and players coming and going over the past few months have made things a little difficult, in terms of continuity,” added the utility back.
“Given what has occurred and the setbacks we have suffered, on and off the field, this year was always going to be about consolidation.
“But we realise the task at hand and have to move forward now.
"We want to give our supporters something to shout about and a win this weekend could get the ball rolling for us.”
Tickets for the tie are still available, priced at £18 (adults), £13 (concessions) and £8 (juniors).
