FRANCIS CUMMINS believes nerves could prove a factor when his Bradford Bulls battle Catalan Dragons in Perpignan this afternoon (kick-off 3.00pm local time).

The Provident Stadium head coach looks set to welcome back a trio of Bulls to his first-team line-up for the First:Utility Super League clash, with Manase Manuokafoa, Antonio Kaufusi and James Donaldson all in-line to return.

Cummins is expecting plenty of twists and turns prior to the season's close and realises a victory this afternoon could be vital.

“The squad is certainly looking better in terms of numbers and we travel to Perpignan with plenty of confidence,” said Cummins.

“There are definitely a few twists to come yet but the good thing is we are getting players back – and the improvements will follow.

“There are a few nervous clubs now, which is good and gets some pressure on other people for a change.

“We just need to keep improving and play our best. If we do that then I am confident.

“There are a few clubs who have spent a lot of money and it’s not happening for them at the moment. There is pressure on them to perform and we’re going to get some wins.

“You never know what might turn in our favour and, if things do, then those other clubs will be under even greater pressure.

“Catalan are still nervous but there will be plenty of twists and turns over the coming weeks and months.”
