BRADFORD BULLS’ scheduled visit of arch-rivals Leeds Rhinos will now take place on Thursday, April 17 (kick-off 8.00pm).
The fixture move, which means the clash is to now be played 24 hours earlier than its original date, has been agreed by officials of Bradford, Leeds and the Rugby Football League.
A Bradford Bulls spokesperson said: “It has been well-documented, in recent years, that the two-day turnaround between games – over the Easter weekend – has proven detrimental to the players’ health and welfare.
“We believe this move will give the athletes on show the best chance possible of recovering from what is likely to be a bruising encounter, ahead of another crunch clash against last year’s Super League champions, Wigan Warriors, which follows on the Monday (kick-off 3.00pm)
Tickets for the clash will state Friday, April 18 as the date of the match – but they will still be valid.
