THIS afternoon, a lacklustre display from the Bradford Bulls saw them defeated by an in form London Broncos.
Bradford opened the game with flair, confidence and looked extremely capable of leaving Odsal with the two points.
Debutant, Cameron Smith scored the first try of the fixture, as the Leeds loanee linked up with fellow Rhino, Jordan Lilley after a well worked piece of play.
The Second Row received a perfectly timed pass from Lilley 10 metres off the Broncos line, then stepped across the opposing full back to slide under the sticks.
Despite Bradford’s best efforts to hold off the London attack, the visitors struck back immediately through winger, Kieran Dixon, gathering a loose ball on the half way line to take it under the posts.
Following the Broncos equaliser, the southern outfit began to build momentum that would carry them through to the final minute of the game.
Former Bull, Jay Pitts struck back against his old side, gathering Sammut’s grubber kick through and touching down.
Rhys Williams scored immediately after Pitts, receiving the ball out wide, until moving inside to catch the Bradford on its heels.
Roqica, Sammut and Dixon all struck prior to the half time hooter, leaving the Bulls to go into the break with their heads down, searching for confidence.
The visitors came into the second half with the same confidence that built their lead in the first.
Roqica scored the first try of the second half, as a fast piece of play from the Broncos split a hole in the Bulls defence, allowing the forward to dive through.
Bradford were subject to an impressive display by the side from the Capital, who have been on top form, winning four of their last outings.
Despite London’s substantial lead, the Bulls did not give up, as Joe Keyes had a try disallowed, and Ethan Ryan was inches away from latching onto a perfectly weighted kick in the backfield.
Johnny Campbell and Colton Roche linked up perfectly on the right edge, as Roche’s perfectly timed pass enabled the winger to go one on one with his opposing winger.
Campbell’s quick feet saw him step inside, leaving his opponent on his heels, touching down for Bradford’s second try of the game.
Dixon, Garside and Sammut all crossed the Bradford try line to twist the knife in Bradford, seeing them lose by 56 points to 12 at the Provident Stadium.
