BRADFORD BULLS suffered a 54-16 Magic Weekend defeat at the hands of Huddersfield Giants this afternoon.
Francis Cummins' men made a superb start to proceedings, racing into an early lead courtesy of a Danny Addy touchdown.
But the Giants battled back and a pair of late, first-half tries helped them into a comfortable 24-10 interval lead.
A depleted Bradford side, which gave a valiant effort, were all but prevented from scoring after the break, while Paul Anderson's Huddersfield more than doubled their tally.
Addy's fifth-minute score was awarded by the video referee and Jamie Foster added his name to the Bulls' scoresheet, shortly after, following a Joe Wardle response.
Shaun Lunt barged over from close range to hand Huddersfield the lead for the first time.
But it was a further double, courtesy of Luke Robinson and Jodie Broughton – in quick succession – which moved the Kirklees club clear.
Danny Brough, Scott Grix, Ukuma Ta'ai, Anthony Mullally and Larne Patrick added second-half tries for the Giants, completing a nine-try triumph, as Bull Foster crossed for a last-gasp consolation try.
