Well it all went wrong in the last twenty minutes at Warrington.  We started well enough and scored some points but we made far too many errors.  All the errors we made were unforced too and things like dropping the ball in our own quarter meant we had far too much tackling to do and that came back to bite us on the backside late in the game. We defended our try line really well in the first half and we were proud of that effort but eventually it took its toll and cost us dearly at the end.  More

The Millennium Masters - Substitutes

Robbie PaulAs the modern game dictates we have to have four subs, the panel took the chance to include four of the best. Substitutes should be able to play in different positions and have an all round game. Our four certainly have that. Robbie and Henry Paul, Karl Fairbank and Ken Traill. Robbie Paul, versatile in either half-back role, great pace and vision, already a Bradford legend. Totally different is his brother Henry.

Henry Paul Ice cool, he pulled all the strings and broke the points in a season record for the Bulls. Can fill in at Hooker and Loose Forward.

Karl Fairbank Karl Fairbank sums up all Bradford Forwards over the years. Whether at Loose Forward, Second Row or Prop he was a devastating tackler who took the ball up with endless ferocity.

Ken Traill And last, but certainly not least, master Loose Forward Ken Traill. What a kicking game he had. The 40-20 rule was made for him and he had tremendous ability both as a tackler and a ball playing Loose Forward.

So that's it then! 17 selections to wear the Red, Amber and Black for a Millennium. It's all about opinions and no doubt you will have yours but you can't disagree that this team is on a par with any that has played the 'Greatest Game of All'. Rugby League has changed and will continue to do so. If this exercise is repeated in say fifty years time, don't bet against a Fielden, a Deacon, a Pryce or a Peacock being in the list. One thing's for sure. They will have to be good to oust any one of the Millennium Masters.
