After penning a two-year contract with the Red Amber and Black, Jy Hitchcox spoke of his excitement to call Odsal home.

The Grand final hat-trick hero brought joy to the masses of Bulls supporters last night after announcing his extended stay under the rule of John Kear.

The Aussie speedster rapidly became a fans favourite after his flair down the edges and his ability to play wing, centre or fullback proved to be vital for the upcoming 2019 campaign.

“I’m really excited and I have loved my time here the past few weeks and I can’t wait to see what the next two years brings,” said Hitchcox, who is sponsored by 39 Steps Consulting.

“I’m really looking forward to getting settled at Odsal now. They have a really great following here, they always have, hopefully they always will and hopefully we can carry this on to the Championship.

“It’s amazing the following that Bradford get, after every game they are always coming up and saying hello and they love it just as much as the players love it, long may it continue.

“Playing outside Webbo (Jake Webster) has been great, I know how he plays and he knows how I play – hopefully we’re going to get along well.

“Anywhere I can lend a helping hand I am happy to do so, I’ve had a chat with Ethan (Ryan) and Pickers (Brandon Pickersgill) and they have massive careers ahead of them. They are really exciting talents and it’s great that Bradford can keep a hold of them and I’m excited to see what they can bring to the table.

“John is a master motivator and he has a wealth of knowledge, anything that any young guys can take on from him is much appreciated and it’s only going to go in the right direction.

“He has been there and done it all, I think he is the right man for the job and I can’t wait to play under him next year.”
