Wilson, sponsored by the Goodwin Family, signed a first team contract with the Bulls in September and the imposing prop is eager to dive head first into his first team duties for the next three years.
“It’s a big step up from the nineteens to training with the first team, but working with them so much is great for me. I’m learning a lot from them,” said Wilson.
Becoming a part of Bradford’s first team squad, the 17-year-old forward has been working closely with the full-time segment, aiding his production as a youthful player.
“The boys are giving me plenty of tips, they are helping me out a lot and I feel I’m growing as a player because of it.
“The training is more difficult, but I feel like I have been helped out by a lot of the players and the coaching staff, they have made the transition from junior to first team much easier.”
Following his dominative performances in the academy programme, Wilson rightfully earned a first team contract after making ease of his opponents at the junior level.
After getting his initial taste of first team action, Wilson is eager to pull on the Red Amber and Black jersey for the first time at professional level, with the upcoming preseason fixture against Halifax RLFC just around the corner.
“I’d love to play against Halifax. I’m just going to keep on working hard and try my best to get a spot in the team, I’ll just see what happens.
“I know that it’s going to be a tough challenge ahead but I’m going to continue working hard and get ready for the players I’m going to come up against.
“Obviously I’ll be nervous when I first get out there, but if I was to get picked I would be really excited and I’d just want to impress.”
