Bradford Bulls visit the Crown Oil Arena this Sunday, where they will face eighth placed, Rochdale Hornets.
“It was a horrible game when we last played, there was snow all over the field and it made things really difficult for us to play. It didn’t really suit our style of play so it gave them a bit of an advantage,” said Bentley.
“If the weather is to be as good as it says it will be, then we should be able to just outplay them and wear them out.”
After a blistering first half performance against Featherstone Rovers last time out, Bentley is calling for the Bulls to up the performance and compete for the full 80 minutes.
“We had a good first half and went in front, but then the game went away from us because of silly mistakes from penalties and errors. We couldn’t keep control and we missed tackles.
“We improved from Dewsbury, but the completion rate from Hull KR was nowhere near as good. There was far too many missed tackles and penalties, but hopefully we can just build into this week against Rochdale and prep for a tough game.”
Earlier in the week, Geoff Toovey was officially appointed as the Head Coach of the Bradford Bulls, lifting morale within the team: “We’ve got a bit of a buzz now the head coach is officially in, he can start to pass this knowledge on for us and we can help to build for the rest of the year.
“I definitely think that we can, this is one of those games that we need to take and we need to get those two points and get us onto the zero. Hopefully the buzz from Geoff being named the Head Coach can just give us that bit of an extra edge with the boys and we can get that win.”
