Smith has been training with the team since he signed last week, feeling he is ready for the step up to senior rugby after impressing greatly in the under 19s.
Expecting to make his first appearance for the Bulls this weekend, Smith is going out to impress and give his all for his new club.
“I am confident, I just take everything as it comes. I am out there to impress, see if I can catch a few eyes and see what I can do.
“If I have to put my body on the line then I will do for this club. I am just excited to have a dig on Sunday and give everything that I can.”
Smith has joined the Bulls alongside fellow Leeds academy graduates, Mikolaj Oledzki, Sam Hallas and Jordan Lilley, all of whom have cemented their places within the Bradford team.
“It’s good to see a couple of my mates that I have come through rugby teams with, it’s good to see they are all getting a shot. They are very talented players with huge futures ahead of them.
“When I first came over I knew the situation and that they had a bit of adversity, but the character here is unbelievable.
“I have been playing 19’s all year so I just want that next step now, so having the opportunity to play against men is brilliant. I’m grateful that Bradford have given me the opportunity to put a shirt on and I am excited to just get stuck in.
“I wanted to come on loan previously before I broke through to the first team, so I am really looking forward to making my debut.
“I have spoken to a couple of the boys and they have said that the atmosphere in the stadium is great. I’m seriously looking forward to getting out there now.”
