SEVEN HEAVEN FOR BULLS AT SWINTON

Bradford Bulls returned to winning ways with a seven-try 38-12 success over Swinton Lions at Heywood Road this afternoon.

Despite an early period of pressure from the home side, it would be Bradford to cross first.

Jordan Lilley stepped back inside to open up a gap, which Zac Fulton ran through to score his third try in Bradford colours.

The wind was firmly in the Bulls’ sails and they added back-to-back scores soon after.

Tom Holmes grubbered through for Kieran Gill to score his 10th try of the season before Mitch Souter’s scooting effort from dummy half.

Swinton provided an instant response when Rhys Williams touched down in the left corner.

But the final score of the half came via Keven Appo, following great work on the back of a quick ruck from Souter.

Bradford raced out of the blocks at the start of the second half with Dan Okoro score from close range.

Both sides saw a man sent to the sin bin following a scuffle, with Gavin Rodden and Tom Holmes sitting down for 10.

Bradford extended their lead immediately however, with a miracle offload from Jorge Taufua finding Gill on his inside for his second of the afternoon.

The Lions responded through Williams’ second, but they were again reduced to 12 men when Dec Patton was sent to the sin bin for dissent.

The Bulls capitalised once again when a looping pass from Holmes sent Jayden Myers over in the corner for Bradford’s seventh and final try.
