BULLS FALL TO DEFEAT

Bradford Bulls fell to a first defeat in four matches (25-14) against York Knights at the LNER Community Stadium this afternoon.

Despite losing Daniel Smith in the warm up, forcing a reshuffle, Bradford got off to the perfect start when Kieran Gill scored his ninth try of the season.

That score sparked the home side into life however, with Jimmy Keinhorst scoring soon after.

Myles Harrison then kicked the Knights further ahead before Jordan Thompson’s powerful effort from close range.

Liam Harris scored from a scrum three minutes into the second half, with the half-back then scoring his second, running the full length of the field having intercepted a pass.

Harris then kicked a drop goal before two unanswered Bradford scores late on.

Eliot Peposhi, who was originally 18th man before being drafted in for Smith, grounded a Lilley grubber for a first try on his Championship debut.

Aidan McGowan then scored on the back of a superb break by John Davies but it was too little, too late for Eamon O’Carroll’s side.
