THREE ON THE SPIN!

Bradford Bulls made it three wins on the spin with a hard fought 19-12 victory over Toulouse Olympique at Bartercard Odsal Stadium this afternoon.

Eamon O’Carroll welcomed Jorge Taufua back into the side following suspension, replacing Jayden Myers, who was ruled out with an ankle injury.

The visitors got off to the perfect start when Callum Gahan broke and Reubenn Rennie finished under the posts.

Despite that early score, the Bulls continued to press on but Toulouse extended their advantage with a penalty under the posts.

Undeterred, Bradford soon took the lead with a quickfire double.

Kieran Gill grabbed his eighth try of the season, latching onto a Jordan Lilley grubber.

Then soon after, Joe Arundel broke from inside his own half and found Zac Fulton, who fended off the Toulouse full-back to score his second try in just his second home game.

The Bulls saw Connor Carr limp off which forced a reshuffle that saw Gill move out onto the wing.

That didn’t affect his performance however, quickly scoring his second of the game on the back of a neat powerplay on the left edge.

A penalty for a late shot gave Lilley the opportunity to kick us 10 points clear, and he duly obliged.

On the hour mark, Ulberg evaded a tackle to finish in the corner to reduce the arrears to 6.

Despite incessant pressure, Bradford’s defence held firm and they reaped their rewards for their efforts with 6 minutes to go.

Lilley did what Lilley has done so often, dropping a goal to take us into a two-score lead, which we managed to hold onto for another impressive win at the start of the season.
