BULLS GO BACK TO BACK

Bradford Bulls made it back-to-back wins with a superb 24-14 victory over Featherstone Rovers at the Millennium Stadium this afternoon.

Eamon O’Carroll was forced into just one change from the side that beat Halifax Panthers, with Fenton Rogers replacing Max Wood.

It was Bradford who started the stronger heading up the slope too, and their early pressure paid off when Connor Carr finished superbly in the left corner.

Featherstone grew into the game but the Bulls extended their lead when Jordan Lilley’s grubber was grounded by Kieran Gill.

Mitch Souter was sent to the sin bin, leaving Bradford at a numerical disadvantage for ten minutes, and the home side eventually capitalised with Connor Jones scoring under the sticks.

Featherstone started the second half in the same vein they ended the first and quickly levelled proceedings when Paul Turner stretched out to score.

It didn’t take long for Bradford to re-take the lead however, when a penalty soon after collecting the kick off, gave Lilley the chance to kick the Bulls back into the lead. He obliged.

Carr then grabbed his second soon after. Substitute Harvey Wilson produced a barnstorming run to lay the platform for some nice play on the left, with McGowan feeding the winger in the corner.

Another neat passage of play then saw Lilley put Chester Butler through a gap and he finished with ease to take the Bulls into a 22-10 lead.

Another penalty then gave Lilley the opportunity to kick us into a three-score advantage.

Featherstone rallied late on and Connor Jones scored a second try but it proved to be a mere consolation.
