KEAR URGES FANS TO TRAVEL NORTH FOR CUMBRIAN BASH

Head coach John Kear is urging fans to make the three-hour trip up north as the Bulls take on Whitehaven this Sunday at the Recreation ground.

The Cumbrian-based side last week confirmed that they were facing major financial difficulties and the club are set with a mammoth task of raising £60,000 by next year to remain a professional outfit.

So far, they have raised over £25,000 from fans donations alone. All members of the Bradford Bulls join John Kear and urge for fans to pack out the Recreation Ground this weekend.

“Whitehaven are part of the rugby league family and you have got to have some sympathy and empathy with clubs in that situation, especially with our recent history,” said John Kear to League Express’ Lorraine Marsden.

“So, we’d love our fans to go up there and support Whitehaven financially. It would help us as well because our supporters really do get behind us and help us when our backs are against the wall. They pull us through the tough spells.

“To have our fans travel in big numbers would be a help to both clubs.”
