Well it all went wrong in the last twenty minutes at Warrington.  We started well enough and scored some points but we made far too many errors.  All the errors we made were unforced too and things like dropping the ball in our own quarter meant we had far too much tackling to do and that came back to bite us on the backside late in the game. We defended our try line really well in the first half and we were proud of that effort but eventually it took its toll and cost us dearly at the end.  More

One of the Bulls signings from relegated Castleford at the end of 2004, Andy made steady progress at the Jungle, gaining Yorkshire and England honours but he has really kicked on at the Bulls though and has developed into one of the best Props in the game. Andy missed the first three games of last season following an operation but came back strongly to play in all the remaining 25 games and was the Bulls most consistent Forward last year.

Leeds born Andy Lynch started his career at Castleford Tigers in 1999 and soon became a big favourite at the Jungle. In 2003 he was placed in the Super League's 'Dream Team' and that was the year he made his debut for Yorkshire in the final Roses match at the Grattan Stadium. 2003 was a big year for Andy and he was also awarded the Tigers' Player of the Year award and represented England ‘A'.

When the Tigers were relegated from Super League at the end of 2004 Andy signed for the Bulls.  He was unlucky in his first season at the club when, after making 31 appearances, he was left out of the Grand Final team to accommodate the on loan Adrian Morley.  After picking up several club awards for his performances, including Supporters' Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year, BISA Player of the Year and Best Forward of the Year at the 2006 Player of the Year Awards, he suffered a broken leg in the Play Off game against Warrington Wolves.   He was fit to start the 2007 season with the Bulls, making 30 appearances and he was back to his consistent best again in 2008 and he again cleaned up all the major Awards at the club Presentation Night.  He was regarded as a certainty for the England World Squad for the World Cup in Australia but a neck injury, for which he has since had surgery, ruled him out.

Andy won a place in the England 'A' squad for their match against New Zealnad and for the South Seas tour at the end of the 2002 season, and the following year was part of the squad that won the European Nations title.  He was called up to the Great Britain Squad in 2006 for the Tri nations tournament and in June 2007 Lynch was again called up to the Great Britain squad for the Test match against France. He was called up for the Great Britain Train on Squad for the 2007 test series with New Zealand. He also played for Northern Union side against New Zealand All Golds in October 2007.
