Wigan born Ian joined Warrington Wolves and made his debut for the club in 1999. He was highly rated Academy player and after making 39 appearances for the Wire he joined Melbourne Storm, playing alongside former Bulls half Back, Matt Orford. After the 2002 season in Australia he rejoined Warrington before leaving for Salford Reds at the end of 2004. Ian had a solid first season with the Bulls, making 16 appearances with the club, impressing everyone with his work rate.
