Brett hails for the Central Coast area of Sydney and was originally signed by the North Sydney Bears to play in their junior ranks before he moved to South Sydney when the Bears folded. He made 28 appearances for the Rabbitohs before switching to Cronulla, for whom he scored 20 tries in 49 appearances. He represented the ‘Country Origin' side in the annual City Vs Country game in 2008 but an ankle injury suffered in the opening game saw him miss the whole of last season. He has tremendous pace and vision and is earmarked for the vital Stand Off role with the Bulls.
