Chris joined the Bulls in 2008 after spending three years at the Huddersfield Giants, where he was voted ‘Player's Player of the Year’ in his final season. 2009 saw him miss only four games for the Bulls and his tally of 13 tries saw him equal second with Steve Menzies in the Bulls Try scoring list.
Chris Nero was born on Valentine's day in 1981. As a Junior he was on Manly's books and was at the club at the same time as Steve Menzies. Although he is Australian, he has an Italian Passport as his ancestors are from that country.
He joined St George Illawarra and in 2003 he made 7 apperances for them before coming to Engaland and Huddersfield Giants for the start of the 2004 season. With the Giants he made 118 appearances, scoring 48 tries and was voted Player's Player of the Year in 2007.
He joined the Bulls at the start of 2008 but his apperances that year were limited due to injury. Last season saw him come into his own and show the form that led the Bulls to sign him from Giants and he was consistent throughout the campaign as well as having an eye for the Tryline.
Chris has also made one apperance for the ANZACS.
