KARL PRATT will encounter a close shave this weekend as he bids to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Bradford Bulls lottery manager will receive a grade one – all over – this Sunday and you can sponsor the former Super League star.

Pratt is helping to raise funds alongside a Bradford Dudley Hill Under-14s player, whose grandfather died from cancer.

Haydan Harrison lost his grandfather, aged 53, and wants to raise funds for the charity which helped support his family, meaning his grandfather could be cared for at home – as he wished.

Haydan and members of his Dudley Hill team-mates are joining Pratt, at this weekend's Summer Fun Day, which is being staged at the Neil Hunt Memorial Ground.

Pratt said: “This is a great cause and I am delighted to be joining the Dudley Hill boys to help raise extra funds.

“Haydan has taken on some hefty responsibility in helping to raise awareness and money and he deserves to succeed.

“It would be great to see as many people as possible making it down to the Fun Day and, if anyone would kindly donate or sponsor us, it would be greatly appreciated.”

The Bradford Dudley Hill Summer Fun Day will get underway from 11.30am on Sunday.
