BRADFORD Bulls are delighted to announce the signing of rising half-back star Oscar Thomas.

Thomas, 21, has penned a two-year deal and will join his new teammates at the Provident Stadium later this year, arriving from London Broncos.

The exciting stand-off has scored 10 tries in 22 appearances for the Broncos, since returning from a spell with rugby union side London Irish in 2014.

“It is really exciting for me to be joining such a prestigious club,” said London-born Thomas, who becomes the club's first new addition for 2016.

“I really like the Bulls’ style of play. It will suit my game and enable me to take it to the next level.

“I hope to bring energy, enthusiasm and organisation, as well as a creative edge in attack.”

Thomas, who can also operate at full-back, joined the Broncos as a 12-year-old and has also spent time at London Skolars.

“I want to make the most of being part of the Bulls set up,” added Thomas.

“I want to learn fast, so I can develop and improve my game.

“The ultimate aim is to earn a regular starting spot.

“It is clear that everyone at the Bulls is working hard to make the most of the Super 8s opportunity.

“I wish the boys the best of luck in The Qualifiers.”

Bradford return to Super 8s action on Sunday September 6 when Widnes Vikings come to the Provident Stadium, Odsal.

AFTER three rounds of The Super 8s The Qualifiers, James Lowes’ Bradford Bulls’ charge back to First Utility Super League is gathering pace.

The Bulls bounced back from a heavy defeat at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in round two by producing the performance of The Qualifiers so far on Sunday.

The Kingstone Press Championship runners-up became the first second-tier side to topple Super League opposition, courtesy of a 41-10 annihilation of Salford Red Devils at the Provident Stadium.

Hull KR are now the only team defending a 100 per-cent record, following a 12-8 victory over second-placed Widnes Vikings.

The final Super League side, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, made it back-to-back victories with a last-gasp Lee Smith drop-goal snatching the points after a 17-16 thriller against winless Leigh Centurions.

Sheffield Eagles came out on top in the all-Championship affair with Halifax, coming from behind to secure a 28-24 win.

The Bulls will be looking to leapfrog Widnes and move one step closer to a Super League return when the teams meet at the Provident Stadium next Sunday.

Following the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Final against Leeds Rhinos, Hull KR will be aiming to maintain their perfect start to The Qualifiers when they host the resurgent Wildcats.

Elsewhere, Salford will be hoping to get their post-season campaign back on track when they take on Halifax at The Shay.

Leigh will be desperate to get off the mark and keep their promotion hopes alive when Sheffield visit the Leigh Sports Village.
