BRADFORD BULLS star Adrian Purtell recently took up a charity challenge from a young fundraiser.
Purtell, who is an ambassador for Heart Research UK, was challenged to a track race in a bid to add to the £600 already raised by six-year-old Amber Buckle.
Amber is the Yorkshire-based charity's youngest fundraiser, having last year completed the Yorkshire Peaks.
Australian centre Purtell, who is proudly sponsored by David Lowdell Photography, became an ambassador for the organisation after recovering from a heart attack suffered shortly after a Bulls game - two years ago.
Amber was victorious when the pair met on the track, pipping Purtell at the post, to help raise over £200.
She said: “I loved racing Adrian, we can do more things together now to raise money for Heart Research UK.
“I really liked having all my friends with me having fun and raising money.”
