AN exciting opportunity has arisen for a new manager to head up The Bradford Bulls Foundation.

The Foundation is seeking an experienced individual, with a proven track record of success in community, sports development and an understanding of third-sector engagement.

The successful candidate will lead, develop and implement a new growth strategy for the Foundation, Bradford Bulls' official community charity and partner.

The Bradford Bulls Foundation aims to operate alongside the club, within the local community, in order to deliver highly beneficial initiatives, projects and programmes.


The successful candidate will work alongside the charity's trustees and key individuals in order to lead, develop and implement a new strategy for the Bradford Bulls Foundation – in-line with its strategic aims and purposes.

The new manager must ensure that the Foundation continues to grow, while making positive contributions in the community of Bradford and beyond – In a suitable and sustainable manner, with a particular regard to the following:

  • Seeing The Bradford Bulls Foundation achieves its stated goals and objectives.

  • The overall delivery and promotion of the Foundation's strategic plan.

  • Provide leadership with regards to all project deliveries.

  • Developing and nurturing relationships with staff, Bradford Bulls and key stakeholders by creating good working relationships with clear communication.

  • Identify, develop and implement further projects in-line with Bradford Bulls Foundation's overall strategy and purpose.


To oversee all aspects of the charities business, to lead and manage the charity on a day to day basis by:

  • Advising the charity's trustees and key individuals within the club on all developments.

  • Monitoring and reporting back to the trustees on the charities financial performance and KPIs.

  • Securing funding and resources to support growth and the delivery of the charities strategy and purpose

  • Undertaking community and new business engagement in order to find new funding, supporters, clients and beneficiaries to get involved in activities.

  • Developing a funding team and commercial funding initiatives, which align with overall objectives.

  • Raising the profile of the charity and attracting support from the community.

  • Leading, planning, facilitating and managing the charities officers to ensure that all activities, projects and programmes are successfully delivered.

  • Taking responsibility of all training and appraisals including staff and volunteers.


  • A proven record of successfully leading, developing and implementing a business plan and strategies in both the commercial and third sector.

  • A proven record of successfully marketing initiatives, delivering projects and programmes which encourage participation in sport, in a community setting, clubs, schools, colleges and universities.

  • A proven record of securing commercial partnerships, grants and sponsorships for community sports and associated activities such as heritage and the arts.

  • A proven record of successfully leading teams to deliver community based projects and teams in a sports development context.

  • A positive attitude, friendly and outgoing personality with the ability to communicate clearly to different business sectors, community groups and sports clubs on all levels.
