BRADFORD BULLS Under-16s held off a Salford Red Devils fightback to run out 16-12 winners at the AJ Bell Stadium last night, kick-starting a weekend of action against the Lancashire club.
Richard Tate's men led 16-6 at the break but the hosting Red Devils responded during the second half.
Joshua Rickett scored twice and Zac Baker backed up, providing a third Bradford try, as Lewis Ainley landed a pair of conversions.
Lewis Gregory grabbed Salford's initial score, with Dante Morley-Samuels piling on the pressure via a late touchdown of his own.
Calum Dawson kicked two goals but the visiting Bulls did enough to hold on to claim victory.
With the Under-19s (12.30pm) and first team (3.00pm) in action against Salford on Sunday, Bradford will be looking to make it three from three this weekend.
